Financial Aid for Applicant Families
Financial aid is need-based and open to all students. Please notify the Admissions Office of your intent to apply for financial aid. In order to receive your financial aid award along with your enrollment letter on March 10, you must complete your financial aid application by February 1, 2018.
There are two steps to applying for financial aid:
First, complete an online financial aid application through the Smart Tuition system at www.smartaidforparents.com. Use the Jackson Walnut Park Schools ID #12611. Please click here to download instructions on using Smart Aid for Parents for financial aid applications.
Second, write a letter of circumstance and upload it to Smart Aid for Parents. Please include the amount of aid requested, a summary of your family’s circumstances and any recent or anticipated changes. In addition to uploading this letter, to your Smart Tuition Aid account, please send a copy of the letter as an attachment to email@example.com.
Documents needed to complete a financial aid application include (Click here for full instructions):
- 2016 tax returns
- recent 2017 W-2’s or income verification
- Documentation of other income (welfare, food stamps, child support, etc.)
- Recent pay stub(s)
- Letter of circumstance/need (uploaded to Smart Aid and sent directly to the school at firstname.lastname@example.org)
Awards are based on a family’s demonstrated financial need. Our Financial Aid Committee carefully reviews applications and each family’s financial circumstances before making final determinations each spring.
