Welcome to Jackson Walnut Park Schools, a Montessori early childhood program and a growth-centered elementary school, serving children from 18 months through Grade 6. Now in its 52nd year, Jackson Walnut Park helps children learn to love God, love themselves, and love one another. Inspired by the values and charism of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston (CSJ), the robust learning environments at Jackson Walnut Park prepare and empower students for lives
of peace and service to others.
The faculty and staff at Jackson Walnut Park are united in educating the whole child. A rigorous and engaging curriculum includes writing, foreign languages, STEAM and technology programs, and religious literacy. Stimulating and creative opportunities will rise from the newly constructed JWP Student Center, an expanded natural playground, and enrichment programs. Students are given the guidance and space to lead, to grow, and to share their gifts with others. We are proud of our well-prepared graduates who matriculate at independent schools renowned for their excellence throughout the Greater Boston area.
As an immigrant from Italy, I am a firm believer that cultural diversity in the classroom strengthens global perspectives and understanding. The diverse JWP community is committed to caring for our neighbors and for God’s creation. Core values of kindness, compassion, grace, and courtesy, rooted in the educational ministry and charism of the SSJ, infuse classroom and play areas. As a woman of faith informed by the SSJ charism, “to be one with God, among ourselves and with all others,” I am committed to empowering our students to live faith-based lives that demonstrate their confidence, leadership, and service to others. Leadership at JWP is united in its pursuit of excellence and passion for engagement at all levels. In 2018, Boston Parents Paper voted JWP a Family Favorite Winner for Montessori Pre-School and Faith-Based Elementary.
I am excited to work together as a community to propel our schools to even greater levels of success and to mindfully employ technological implements for our students to build on their acquisition of 21st century skills. To that end, I am always envisioning ways education can be improved and how strategic execution of ideas will excite others to join me in expanding and enhancing the many possibilities for our students.
I welcome you to visit our inviting and dynamic classrooms, the new JWP Student Center, and our website; meet our dedicated and caring teachers; and experience the love of learning that flourishes here at Jackson Walnut Park.
In the faithful pursuit of excellence,
Dr. Vittoria Pacifico
Interim President, Jackson Walnut Park
