2019 JWP Gala

The Jackson Walnut Park community gathered at The Hyatt Regency in Cambridge on March 30th for the 2019 Gala and Auction. This annual event that celebrates and benefits Jackson Walnut Park Schools was a grand success. The evening kicked off with a lively cocktail hour and a Silent Auction featuring more than 100 items from children’s toys, to designer bags, to fine art. Guests then moved to the President’s Ballroom for dinner where Board Co-Chair, Ed Dailey, welcomed everyone, and Sister Denise Kelly, CSJ offered the blessing.

An energetic and competitive Live Auction was the evening’s highlight. First, the lucky PowerBall winners won the opportunity to select any live auction item. They chose the autographed Rob Gronkowski helmet and elegant display case. Auctioneer John Terrio next animated a bidding crowd with an elegant diamond bracelet from Tiffany’s and a week’s stay at a Sunday River Chalet, two of the most sought-after prizes. The Auction item that garnered the highest number of bids was a night at a Celtics game for one lucky family with pre-game access, a tour of the locker room, and a guided tour of the practice facility with Celtics star, Aron Baynes P’WPM.

The generous JWP community ended the evening with the auctioneer’s Paddle-Up Call for faculty development. The Call raised $28,800, affirming the love and appreciation of our JWP faculty.

Many thanks to the 2019 Gala and Auction Committee who worked long hours to create this marvelous event, and to our sponsors, volunteers, donors, and attendees for making this extraordinary evening such a success!
