Jackson Walnut Park School is an early childhood and primary school sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph.
Located in an historic neighborhood in Newton, Jackson Walnut Park School features an authentic Montessori early childhood program and a K-6 independent school in the Catholic tradition.
The school offers a rich, discovery-based curriculum, with signature programs that include STEAM education at all grades, a language arts program that incorporates principles from Lucy Calkins’ Reading and Writing Project, and foundations in three languages by sixth grade: Spanish, Mandarin and Latin.

About the Position
Jackson Walnut Park School seeks Part-Time Staff Members for its Kids’ Corner Extended Day Program for the 2024-2025 school year.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 2 – 6 PM
- Applicants seeking fewer days will be considered
- Additional hours are available
Compensation
- $22-$25 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience
Ideal Candidates
- Hold (or are pursuing) college degrees in Early Childhood or Elementary Education, or relevant areas of study
- Have a minimum of one-year of experience in an educational, day care, or other form of child-centered employment environment
- Demonstrate patience, good humor, and solid communication skills
