Kids’ Corner
Kids’ Corner provides after-school programming and care for Jackson Walnut Park School learners of all ages, toddler through sixth grade, until 6 PM each school day.
Activities include arts and crafts, cooking, outdoor play, science experiments, sports, and more. Children work in mixed-age groups, learning new skills and furthering their social skills development.
In Kids’ Corner, friendships are nurtured through engaging activities that develop resilience, trust, and respect.

After-School Enrichment Activities
After-School Enrichment Activities engage Jackson Walnut Park School students to connect with one another, learn more about their personal interests, and develop life skills that build character.
Providing age-appropriate experiences for children age 4 through the sixth grade, programs utilize the recently constructed Jackson Walnut Park Student Center plus Jackson Elementary and Walnut Park Montessori classroom spaces, and our school’s expansive outdoor areas and select off-campus venues.
Jackson Walnut Park School offers three After-School Enrichment Activity sessions: Fall, Winter, and Spring. Choices span visual and dramatic arts, athletics, chess, creative writing, ISEE prep, outdoor activities, public speaking, world languages, science and engineering, technology, and more.
Winter 2024
- Registration opens December 5, 2023 at 12:30 PM
- Activity sessions will begin on January 8th, 2024
Activity choices by day of the week and student age
- Walnut Park Montessori, ages 4-6
- 2:45 – 3:45 PM each day
- Jackson Elementary, Kindergarten through Sixth Grade
- 2:50 – 3:50 PM each day
- Extended options are available until 4:05 and 4:20 PM

Homework Club
Available to second through sixth graders, Jackson Walnut Park Homework Club provides a supervised, supportive environment for students to accomplish academic assignments. Once they’ve completed their homework, students are invited to play quiet games or read books.
Homework Club is provided in one-hour and half-hour increments beginning at 2:50 PM and concluding at 4:20 PM.
Homework Club Rates
30 Minutes: $10.00/day
1 Hour: $15.00/day
1.5 Hours: $25.00/day
