Jackson Walnut Park is excited to announce the opening of its new JWPS Student Center located on its historic Newton campus.

The School kicked off its 50th Anniversary year in 2016 with an announcement of the “Building Our Future” Campaign followed by a celebratory groundbreaking in 2017. Built on the generosity of the Sisters of Saint Joseph, trustees, current and past parents, alumnae, and foundations, the vibrant and beautiful 10,000 square foot facility opens in September.

The JWPS Student Center will energize a wide array of campus opportunities for students from 18 months through Grade 6, families, alumnae, and guests. A full-court gym and a multi-purpose activity and wellness facility will host physical education classes, after-school and summer camp activities, and the Kids’ Corner Program. A performance venue will give life to theatrical, musical, and educational presentations. All-school, family, and alumnae events will be enhanced with an on-site culinary area. Classroom and newly designed outdoor instructional spaces, as well as the enlarged natural playground, will inspire imagination, collaborative learning, and individual growth for students and summer STEM program participants.

The new campus facility is an ideal setting that will provide space for students, teachers, and families to come together in fulfilling the many service projects that JWP hosts throughout the year.

The JWPS Student Center will seamlessly become a dynamic and motivating learning environment for students to develop new skills, expand creativity, and succeed in the challenging academic environment that is the hallmark of a Jackson Walnut Park education.
